Where to eat well ?
Le Chastrusse, in Nadaillac de rouge, 6 km from the campsite. Traditional regional kitchen. Julien makes his preserved food during winter. Experience the calmness and the charm of their terrace in the bucolic atmosphere.
Le Roc du berger : goose farm auberge, at the outskirts of Rocamadour, direction Padirac. Warm restaurant, placed in an old truffle bakery, in the natural limestone plateau parc of Quercy. Local products guaranteed. Fine grillades. Children Play ground.

To be discovered : The pleasure on your plate at Caoulet’s mill, closeby Calès, 12 km from Payrac
You are interested in white flesh and trout. And you are walking on the Ouysse banks, Jean-Luc Murat is wainting for you with wife Martine at the mill of Caoulet which served for grinding wheat of the limestone plateaus untill the 50’s. A little region of coolness where Jean-Luc lives happily since more than 55 years. Coming from the stomach, bringing them right back from the forced feed in de Pyrénées, they rear sweet trout living good, weigthing between 150 gr. and 6 kg. |
For each of his trouts, you reach the ponds, you choose the one you prefer and the trout twill be caught before your eyes, all wriggling. You can find the trouts one the good carte menus of Rocamadour. Martine will happily give you some hint and tips to get the most of taste out of the fish, on the barbeque, with salt, with almond, and more. Don’t hesitate asking advice et above all listen to their stories about their lives in Quercy, change of scene assured
You can return to Rocamadour by taking the GR which runs just past the mill. Take account for about 3 hours round-way The road and walk are accesible for pushchairs.

Le Rocamadour, It is a small cheese of 35 G “pure goat” manufactured exclusively with whole milk , refined in cellar at least 6 days.
