La Roque Gageac
The village of La-Roque-Gageac stands at the foot of a cliff on the banks of the Dordogne. It too is one of the most beautiful villages in France. It has preserved its charm from days gone by when many merchants would arrive there in their scows. It faces south, which gives it its own micro-climate, thanks to which you can discover its surprising exotic garden.
The village was the setting for the film Camping 2 (as was the Beynac castle).
Also situated in black Perigord, it is some 45 minutes from Payrac in Lot.
