Between the luxuriant vegetation of the Dordogne valley and the arid limestone plateau of Gramat, this village is one of the most beautiful villages in France. It is an ancient medieval town which has kept its charm, with its narrow streets and Cluniac priory. When you walk through the village, you can easily imagine the monastic life that was once lived here. The historic architecture is rich and typical of Lot and Quercy, such as the Elders’ castle, a cloister, St Peter’s church and its sculpted tympanum.
Set off to discover Lot’s characteristic architecture in these three villages.
